Born and raised in Oxnard, CA, Henrissa is a proud southern Californian native. Henrissa has had the opportunity to work alongside young and older people from underserved communities in California, Washington, DC, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria to advance racial, social, and gender equity. Prior to attending law school, Henrissa attained a Master of Public Health (MPH) from UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health. She is passionate about using multi-faceted approaches to enforce the housing rights of underrepresented and underserved communities. In her free time, she listens to pop culture and comedy podcasts. She is honored to join Centro Legal’s Tenants’ Rights team!
