The San Leandro Emergency Rental Assistance Program will provide rental assistance payments on behalf of qualifying San Leandro renters who have lost income due to COVID-19 and meet federal low-income requirements. The application period opens on February 1, 2021 and will close on March 5, 2021.

Are you at risk of losing your home due to the COVID-19 pandemic? Unincorporated Alameda County residents may be eligible for financial assistance to pay rent.
Centro Legal de la Raza is administering an emergency rental assistance program to disburse $5 million in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) funds. Funds will be used to provide rental assistance to low-income tenants in unincorporated Alameda County who have lost work or income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The application period opens on November 17, 2020 and will remain open until funds are exhausted or December 28, 2020, whichever comes sooner. Approved households can receive past due rent of up to 9 months or up to $18,000, whichever is less.
Have you lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are at risk of losing your home? Oakland residents may be eligible for financial assistance to pay rent and other housing costs.
The City of Oakland received $36.9 million in California State allocated CARES Act funding. $5
million of those funds were allotted for renter and homeowner relief. This
funding will provide one-time financial assistance to low income renters and homeowners
impacted by COVID-19. The application period opens on September 1, 2020.
